The Sunshine Gala is returning after a successful year last year to benefit the U R My Sunshine Foundation. The Sunshine Gala benefits St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
This year’s Sunshine Gala will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick on September 25th 2026. The event is put on in honor of Jaclyn Bagdasarian and Joseph Pelosi. There will be a performance by a live band, guest speakers, auction items and more.

Last year your overwhelming generosity made the evening a phenomenal success, allowing us to raise an astonishing $52,323.46 in proceeds! This year, with your help, we want to double our contribution.
We donate directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and work in partnership with St Jude to produce our Sunshine Gala 2026.

About Us
In 2021, our family’s “sunshine” was changed as we confronted fears of the unimaginable. Our dear Jaclyn — wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and precious friend — was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Shortly afterward, two other cornerstones of the family — Joseph Pelosi Sr. and John Micheletti — were also diagnosed with cancer.
In 2024, Joseph Pelosi Sr. and Jaclyn Bagdasarian (Micheletti) completed their purposes with impactful contributions to this world – blessing many during their journeys. Now, they share in the Glory of God with those who have gone Home before us – celebrating the greatest “Gala” that will ever be!
Our families wish to honor the lives of Jaclyn and Joe Sr. by continuing to spread their “sunshine” with those challenged by what our family has undertaken.

The “U R My Sunshine Foundation” is a 501 (c)(3) organization in the state of Rhode Island, run by volunteers. The organization was founded to continue spreading the sunshine that these two family members emitted on this Earth, until they took their last breaths at the ages of 31 and 60.
Through Sunshine Galas, we aspire to fulfill our mission: together, we are supporting families who are overwhelmed while enduring the unimaginable.
